Victory Worship Center was launched in 2011 in Pastor David's home. At that time the church was known as Vertical Church. The members met from house to house like in the book of Acts. From there they began to grow quickly and began meeting in Zarrow Library April of 2011. By the summer they began believing God for a new location with more room to grow. The Church group was introduced to Bob and Meli Brown of Harvest Counseling in Bartlesville, Okla. As Pastor shared his heart for the church and the city of Bartlesville, Bob Brown agreed to open his building for church services. Pastor told Bob, "If we use this place we are going to have to knock out a wall" and Bob agreed.

 

Vertical outgrew that building and on Easter of 2012 the church began meeting in a store front in Eastland Shopping Center. The church met there for one year and outgrew that space in both adult and kids areas. On Easter of 2013 Vertical became a "mobile church" and met at various locations until Easter of 2013 when they moved into their own building at 1500 S. Keeler Ave. in Bartlesville, Okla.

 

The old McKinley Elementary School building was an answer to many prayers and a lot of faith released. As Ministry Leadership met with the School Board we received great favor. The School Board allowed us to rent the building for one full year to grow our congregation some more and save money for building renovations and down payment. We began closing our eyes and opening our faith even more seeing that we were 3 weeks from our down payment deadline and we still need $17, 500 down. After preaching on "Tithing-an opportunity not an obligation", we all released our faith and our finances to the work of God and within 3 weeks $28,000 came in all for the GLORY OF GOD!

 

In January of 2015 Pastor was led of the Holy Spirit to change the name of the church which he never planned on doing. After much prayer and counsel, Vertical Church was renamed Victory Worship Center, April of 2015. We are excited for what this means for us. When God changed his peoples name in the Scripture it always brought new purpose and direction.

Through COVID-19 2020, Pastor David chose to keep VWC open and we continued to grow and experience God's provision and expanded our on site ministry to online. You can view our sermons on BAND, Facebook, YouTube and our website. We currently meet at the Washington Park Mall in Bartlesville, OK.
